Twig Hutchinson

Launching our new series on talented tastemakers with a unique aesthetic, meet brand consultant, art director and interior stylist Twig Hutchinson. Here, the multi-hyphenate creative shares the artful approach behind her cool-meets-classic style and edits her ideal Collagerie curation…
“When I’m thinking about interiors I really like to focus on the individual craftsmanship of a piece. I enjoy the irregularity of the handmade. My starting point for any room is a neutral palette where I play with opposing textures, such as marble paired with an earthenware ceramic or linen piece. (It often tends to be the same with my clothes, hence the patent glossy trousers!). I then like to put in subtle pops of bright colour to add some depth to the neutrals, and usually this is with a piece of abstract art or a mid-century table lamp – basically something to mess things up a bit so it doesn’t look too perfect.”
