A Note About Peter

It would be hard to find a resumé to rival Copping’s. Following stints designing for premium fashion brands, including Louis Vuitton, Sonia Rykiel and Nina Ricci, he was hand-picked by Oscar de la Renta to take the reins from the master couturier himself. Today finds Copping embracing interior design, juggling roles as contributing editor at Architectural Digest and co-creator of luxe interiors label La Carlière.

Explaining his ‘Shelfie’ choices, the multi-talented Copping says, “My selection combines items I’d love to buy for our manor house in Normandy or the pied-à-terre in Paris I’ve just finished renovating with my husband, Rambert. I am always drawn to textiles and porcelain, but I disciplined myself to look beyond these! For me, the most important criteria was that each piece had to combine personality with beautiful craftsmanship.”
