“New Beginning” by Magali Cazo

Born in 1979, French artist Magali Cazo studied in Lyon and later in Paris, where she mastered multiple mediums – from fresco and engraving to oil painting, lithography and morphology. Today she channels this breadth of experience into expressive ink-on-paper paintings, exploring landscape and the human form in works that are half-figurative, half-abstract but always immersed in nature. Rejecting reality in favour of her unconscious memories, Cazo’s emotive recollections are key to the colour-soaked dreamscapes she creates.
