Jeremy Annear
Cornwall-based Jeremy Annear is a British modern artist whose work brings a contemporary sensibility to the legacy of the St Ives Group. Drawing on the light and landscape of the region, he creates richly textured oil paintings that echo the modernist language of Nicholson, Hepworth and Lanyon. Layered colour, relief-like surfaces and interlocking geometric forms give his canvases a depth and rhythm, aligning them with the spirit of post-war Cornish abstraction while conjuring a distinctive, lyrical voice all his own.
