Full Stack Software Engineer

The Role:

Collagerie is seeking a talented and passionate Full Stack Software Engineer to join our dynamic and fast-paced London team. As a Full Stack Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing responsive user-friendly features as well as building scalable backend solutions to both maintain and enhance our platform to bring our customers maximum value.

Our core tech stack consists of: • Typescript • NodeJS • NextJS • Contentful • Shopify • Algolia

Key responsibilities (included but not limited to):

• Collaborate with the Product team to define suitability, scope and scale of projects in line with the company’s roadmap and vision

• Develop responsive and user-friendly interfaces

• Maintain day to day software and features on site

• Contribute to designing, implementing and maintaining scalable backend systems

• Collaborate with the UX/UI designers

• Continuously learn and stay up to date on industry trends, technologies and recommend improvements to our workflows

• Ask questions (no question is a silly question)

• Be data driven in approach to projects

• Troubleshooting, debugging and bug fixing

• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality, ensure knowledge share and ensure best practises are adhered to

Requirements:

• Proven experience in software development (Full Stack), ideally in an e-commerce or editorial environment

• Proficiency in frontend technologies (HTML5, CSS3, ES2015 JavaScript) and frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, etc.)

• Experience with CMS platforms, Contentful is preferable

• Experience building responsive web applications using React

• Excellent communication skills, with a proactive approach to seeking help and providing timely updates

• Demonstrated ability to balance attention to detail with a pragmatic approach to trouble-shooting

• Solid knowledge of lean and agile methodologies and proven ability to collaborate within the wider tech team

• Desire and adaptability to thrive in a fast-growth start-up environment

We regret that we are not open to fully remote applications, this role is London based and requires at least 2 days a week in our head office, but what we can offer is a flexible working approach which can be discussed per role.
